"We stand at a critical moment in Earth’s history, a time when humanity must choose its future. As the world becomes increasingly interdependent and fragile, the future at once holds great peril and great promise. To move forward we must recognize that in the midst of a magnificent diversity of cultures and life forms we are one human family and one Earth Community with a common destiny."
–from the Preamble of the United Nations Earth Charter

The Planet Earth Show

QUIET RIOT’s assembly, The Planet Earth Show, presents to students and staff:

  • The wonder of our planet and our connection to it

  • The challenge of stabilizing our climate

  • How students and staff can save energy and money at home and school

  • Why reuse, recycle, zero waste, rooftop solar and wind energies are great climate solutions and good for our successful future

  • The urgency and benefits of Going Green--Solar for All!

We are at a unique time in all of human history. The triple crises of Global Warming, Peak Oil, and Resource Depletion threaten to collapse civilization. Our best science tells us we have less than a 10-year window of opportunity to save human habitat on our planet Earth.

Imagine our world within the next ten years, where our energy comes directly from the wind, the sun, the movement of water and the heat of the earth. Our homes, plugged-in cars, and buildings produce surplus energy for the grid.

Imagine our world where oil, coal, nuclear energy and agri-fuels have been phased out. No more war for oil. Climate Chaos is mitigated and clean air, water, and soil create a much healthier environment for our families.

Imagine our nation as one that shares clean renewable energy hardware and expertise with the Developing World, helping to eradicate poverty and terrorism for true global security.

Students, teachers, administrators, support staff and families can all help to shape our healthy, peaceful and flourishing clean, green energy future.
